Victorian School Term Dates

The first day of Term 1 is usually a student-free day in government Victorian school holidays 2016, where only teachers are needed to attend. Other student-free days differ from school university, therefore you will need to seek advice from your school for details.

Term 2 13 April to 26 June
Term 3 13 July to 18 September
Term 4 5 October to 18 December

2016 term dates
Term 1 27 January to 24 March
Term 2 11 April to 24 June
Term 3 11 July to 16 September
Term 4 3 October to 20 December

In addition, schools may also be closed on public holidays that fall beyond your term holidays, including Australia Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, ANZAC Day, Queen’s Birthday and Melbourne Cup Day.
